Celebrating the wide range of small businesses that make London great, the Dot London Small Business Awards are for businesses, organisations, or individuals that have a registered address in one of London’s 32 boroughs and have an online presence.
With categories including Best Place to Eat, New Business of the Year, and Independent Cultural Venue of the Year, the Dot London Small Business Awards are voted on by you, the public, and each winner will win a £1,000 cash prize, one-to-one mentorship on how to improve their online presence, and the opportunity to have a free .london domain name.
Heart Internet is sponsoring two categories: Creative Agency of the Year and Social Enterprise of the Year.
The nominees for Creative Agency of the Year are:
Ben Tallon Creative Studio
The multi-award-winning illustrator and art director Ben Tallon creates hand-crafted work using organic materials, as well as set design, art direction, lecturing, and hosting workshops.
Chaos Design
The integrated creative agency offers advertising, communications, branding, and digital media to help their clients achieve their business goals.
Dreadnought Media
This motion design studio creates moving visuals for brands and advertising agencies, working from concept and design to production and post-production, combining film, VFX, and 3D animation.
Enter the Wilderness
Wilderness works with brands and agencies to identify and target their audiences across social and digital media.
The London Fashion Agency
Bridging the gap between traditional agencies and brands trying to handle everything themselves, the London Fashion Agency serves small fashion brands with creative PR solutions to social media to graphic design.
PB Creative
This independent design-led branding agency offers a bespoke design approach tailored around each brief and brand.
The nominees for Social Enterprise of the Year are:
Bikeworks
This not-for-profit social enterprise uses cycling as a tool to tackle social and environmental challenges in the community, running cycling training, maintenance courses, and two shops.
Birdsong
An online marketplace with a new approach to clothing – no sweatshops and no Photoshop – working with women’s charities, social enterprises, and community groups to help them reach an online audience.
House of St. Barnabas
This 150-year-old charity helps London’s homeless back into work through its Employment Academy, helping participants to build their confidence and skills through work experience.
Old Spike Roastery
A specialist coffee roaster with a social mission to train, employ, and house homeless people across the UK, supplying high-quality speciality coffee through its coffee shop.
Olio
This free app tackles the problem of food waste by connecting neighbours with each other and local shops so that surplus food can be shared rather than thrown away.
Papi’s Pickles
Family-run and community-driven, Papi’s Pickles provides fresh and tasty South Indian and Sri Lankan food and pickles for events, pop-up cafes, and street-food markets.
You can now vote for your choice in the Dot London Small Business Awards, until Friday, 8 January. All winners be announced at the ceremony held later in the month.
